This manifestation of fitness leads us away from the truth and results science has to offer. So scrap your previous knowledge and take this information seriously. A compound exercise is an exercise that involves multiple joints and muscle groups collectively. For example, the squat involves moving the knees, ankles, and hip joint and requires a whole-body coordinated effort, with the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes doing the majority of the work. Compound movements are time proven muscle builders and here are some of the benefits you can get from doing them:
-Generally burns more calories because of more muscle involvement
-Improves joint stability, reaction time and balance
-Decreases the risk of injury from daily activities and sports
-Provides more cardiovascular benefits than isolation exercises do
-Allows you to do more muscle damage and improves strength tremendously due to heavier work being performed.
As you can see compound movements are simple yet quite effective! In contrary Isolation, exercises serve their purpose for specific muscle strengthening and injury prevention as well, but in a much different way. So if you're trying to build more muscle mass and increase the number of calories burned in a shorter period. opt-in for a proven cause and effect!
